Draw a Dinosaur Day!

As every year, Draw a Dinosaur Day was celebrated on January 30th

This holiday is celebrated pretty easily: just grab paper and pen or pencil, or your computer and mouse or digital tablet, your ipod touch, iphone, ipad or anything you can draw with, and take a few minutes of your day to draw a dinosaur! and then share it with the world.

Jean Michel Jarre - Last Rendez-Vous (Ron's Piece) - "Challenger"

Hoy hace 25 años, el astronauta Ron McNair entraría en órbita, con su saxofón.

En el espacio, grabaría una melodía compuesta por el, que seria colaboración para el álbum próximo a salir del músico francés Jean Michel Jarre "Rendez-vous".

Esta seria la primera pieza original de música interpretada y grabada en el espacio exterior.
Tambien, estaba planeado que McNair tocara en vivo, desde el espacio, via enlace directo a un concierto de Jarre.

Desgraciadamente, Ron McNair y el resto de la tripulación del transbordador espacial Challenger, fallecieron en el trágico accidente.

Jean Michel Jarre incluyó la melodia de McNair en el album, interpretada por Pierre Gossez, cambiando el nombre de la pieza a Last Rendez-vous "Ron's Piece"

Inspired by Wendy Carlos' take on Bach's music and on Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker itself, this is my attempt to do a synthesized version of the Nutcracker Suite, but contrary to Carlos who used a single modular Moog and overdubbing to record every single note, this attempt is done using virtual analog synthesizers and a laptop. More specifically the MinimogueVA, a fantastic (free!) emulation of the classic Moog Minimoog synth, programmed by Richard Brooks, Glen Stegner and Gunnar Ekornås.

The whole suite is done with up to 16 instances of MinimogueVAs. Imagine if you will, synthesizers playing simultaneously as if they were a tiny electronic orchestra.

Inspirado por las interpretaciones de Wendy Carlos de Bach y Tchaikovsky
este es mi intento de hacer una versión sintetizada de la Suite de El Cascanueces, pero a diferencia de Carlos, que utilizó un Moog modular único y overdubbing para grabar cada nota, mi version esta realizada mediante sintetizadores analógicos virtuales y un ordenador portátil. Más concretamente, el MinimogueVA, una fantástica (¡y gratuita!) emulación del clásico sinte Minimoog de Bob Moog, programada por Richard Brooks, Stegner Glen y Ekornås Gunnar.

El conjunto de todo se hace con un máximo de 16 instancias de MinimogueVAs. Imagina, si se quiere, 16 sintetizadores tocando al mismo tiempo como si se tratara de una pequeña orquesta electrónica.

He's a guitar player on a EBM/Industrial/Digital Hardcore band "MegaNut" XD he's quite big, but off the stage he's quite shy about his endowment so he wears underwear under his jeans, in his mind that helps minimize the effect!

Jose Pablo Moncayo, mejor conocido por haber compuesto "Huapango".

Es una pieza sinfónica que de escucharla nos recuerda aquellos bonitos comerciales de "la cerveza es... Corona."

Bueno... Aleks Syntek basó su tema del Bicentenario en el estilo huapango, cubriendolo con el pop que caracteriza a Syntek, pero incluyó varios pasajes que recuerdan, o rinden tributo, a la obra de Moncayo.

Y yo no me quiero quedar atras. Aqui está, mi versión eletrificada de Huapango.
